Smart Content -Part 1

Using Smart Content

In this tutorial I will show you the basics of how to load Genesis through to her having clothes, posing etc

 Go to Smart Content, Files then Figures ,Then double click on Genesis 8

  

When she is loaded she is a cream colour,
Not facing forward
(Every time you open Daz Studio this is the way it is)
Has a box at the bottom

 

 

Click on Front so Genesis is facing forward
This has to be done every time you open Daz Studio, I still have not found a way to fix this

 

 

Just above the front box, Go to Head then to Texture Shaded,

(if you have saved your style you can skip this)
 This shows your body Texture when applied
You can click on the others to see what they do if you wish

 

 

Click on the Arrow, The box has gone,

You can click on the others to see what they do if you wish

ADDING CLOTHING

 

Next, go to the wardrobe

 

I have chosen the clothing above

 

These have loaded and you can find them in the Scene section, Click on the small arrow beside Genesis 8 Female and below you can view where they are at

Have these "Fitted" to Genesis 8?
 
What this means is if they have fitted and when you move her the clothes will also move at the same time

 

 

You can check by going to Basic Sports Bra, Then to Parameters section, Then to General, Then Fit to
If it has Genesis 8 then it has fitted correctly

 ADDING MATERIAL TO CLOTHING

 

Go to Scene/Double click on Genesis 8 Female 

When you click on Basic Wear Sports Bra 

In your Smart Content Section, you will now have Materials and Utilities

 

 

This will show, Double-click on a colour to apply

 

You will also have to do the same to the Shorts, I have chosen Gray

ADDING HAIR 

 

 

Go to Files, then Hair, You will have Toulouse Hair,
Double-click on it and it will load onto Genesis's head
Check it has fitted to Genesis 8, the same as you did with her clothes

 

To change the hair colour go to Smart Content, Materials, You have quite a few choices of colours for the hair and strands, so I chose Col 05

 

 

It has now been applied

POSING

This is how to add a pose to Genesis 8,

Go to Smart Content, Then To Poses and Pick one

I have chosen Base Pose-Basic Walking B

 She has now moved position
