Smart Content - Part 2

BODY TEXTURE

I am just using the basic texturing for Genesis 8 from Smart Content,
As your content grows you will have morphs, makeup, eye texture etc

3Delight

To add a body texture go to Smart Content,

Then to Materials, Click on Base Maps All Maps (RSL) and the texture will change,

you can lower the skin texture if you wish by 25%,50%, or 75%

Iray

To add a body texture go to Smart Content,

Then to Materials, Click on Base Maps All Maps (MDL)

 RENDERING

RSL is 3Delight and MDL is Iray

This is your Render Settings Section

I have changed my size to 600X600 as an example

You can change this to the size you require, I also have my Dimension Preset to Square, If you click on this section you will get a pop-up of other choices to pick from,

Once you are happy then you can press the blue button to start your render

A render done in 3Delight (RSL) was done very quickly but as you can see,

It doesn't look too great it is horrible, You would need some lights. A touch-up with the body texture, adding make-up, changing settings in the surface section or a bit of post-work work etc. will help lots

*******************************

A render done in Iray ((MDL)

If it looks fuzzy or you don't see much at the start of the render, It will clear up as the render time goes by and will see what is happening

The finished render, is a lot brighter, body and clothing stand out better as well,
You could still do a little touch-up if you wanted
I will say that Iray Rendering does take quite a while to finish

Go to File/Save Last Render

Make a folder and save it somewhere on your PC, Since I make tubes I have saved it as a PNG format

****************************

There are good and bad points for both types of Rendering, If you want Iray then one render may take hours to finish, I will say I do not do this I have no patience even if I were to leave it and do something else, It has never interested me in using Iray

Mine are by 3Delight, I add lights, Improve body texture and sometimes I do postwork, It all Depends on my final render which you can see with all the items I have created over the years.

SAVING YOUR WORK

When I am working in Daz Studio I always save my work when working away

The reason is just in case the program crashes and closes or freezes

Nothing worse when you have spent hours working on something and losing it all

Go to File, Save as,Then to Scene

This will appear, You can either save them in there but to be honest this is where the Program is Installed and best to save them elsewhere

I have changed it to my external drive and directed it to a folder I made called my Saves,
Name it then click save

This will appear, I just click Accept

This has now been saved in the folder I created

These are not to be copied and pasted anywhere on the net, A text link is fine or you can print them for personal use only
